Special sessions are very small and specialized events to be held during the conference as a set of oral and poster presentations that are highly specialized in some particular theme or consisting of the works of some particular international project. The goal of special sessions (minimum 4 papers; maximum 9) is to provide a focused discussion on innovative topics. All accepted papers will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book, under an ISBN reference, and on digital support. All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SCITEPRESS Digital Library. SCITEPRESS is a member of CrossRef and every paper is given a DOI (Digital Object Identifier). The proceedings are submitted for indexation by DBLP, Web of Science / Conference Proceedings Citation Index, EI, SCOPUS and Semantic Scholar.

Scope
This Special Session focuses on the findings and preliminary findings of two international projects: one, the InterPARES (International Research on Permanent and Authentic Records in Electronic Systems) project, supported by Canada’s Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), and two, the PAPIS (Pervasive Accountability to Pervasive Information Systems) project, the second phase of the Records-Centered Digital Information Management Theory and Mechanisms (DI{R}Mtm), supported by China’s Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities and the Research Funds of Renmin University of China (15XNL032). The InterPARES project has been examining the impact of digital technology on digital records since the 1990s and the PAPIS project aims at responding to the increasingly pervasive technology presence with a firm stance that takes the view of the general public.
Research that falls generally into the scope of managing digital information in today’s ever changing digital environment is also very much welcomed.
